the future of agriculture in
south carolina
through research and extension

Precision Defoliating

Harnessing PWM-controlled nozzles and multi-height targeting on an autonomous robotic platform, this next-generation solution offers a more efficient, cost-saving alternative to traditional cotton-spraying methods.

Advanced Plant Inventory

By seamlessly integrating unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with radio-frequency identification (RFID) systems, modern agricultural operations can entirely transform traditional inventory management and asset tracking within commercial nurseries.

Robotic Harvesting

Capitalizing on the growing adoption of UGVs in agriculture, the cotton sector is uniquely positioned for transformation. Through advanced robotic platforms and innovative harvesting designs, the future of cotton harvesting is set to become entirely autonomous, efficient, and eco-friendly.
